Visit the official commission portal at ssc.gov.in. Any legacy registration from the older ssc.nic.in website is deactivated. Complete your fresh OTR using Aadhaar-based biometric verification or alternate valid photo ID.
Log In to Candidate Dashboard & Select Notification
Log in using your Registration Number and Password. Navigate to the ‘Latest Notifications’ tab, locate ‘Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026’, and click ‘Apply Online’.
Capture Real-Time Live Webcam Photograph
Under the updated SSC module, pre-existing photos cannot be uploaded. You must capture a real-time live photograph using a webcam or the MySSC mobile app. Stand before a plain light background with eyes open, without cap, mask, or spectacles.
Upload Signature & Enter Educational Qualifications
Upload your scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB, dimensions 4.0 cm x 2.0 cm). Enter 10th and 12th class educational details, board name, roll number, marks percentage, and examination center priorities.
Pay Application Fee & Submit Application Form
Pay the âš100 application fee via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or Debit Cards (exempted for Female, SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM candidates). Preview the completed form thoroughly, submit, and download the confirmation PDF for future reference.
Important Instructions, Biometrics & Mandatory Examination Rules
Candidates applying for SSC CHSL 2026 must adhere to the stringent regulations promulgated by the Commission:
- Aadhaar Based Biometric Verification: Candidates who complete Aadhaar authentication at OTR will enjoy expedited verification. Those not authenticated through Aadhaar must report 2 hours before examination start time with original Photo ID proofs.
- Strict Prohibition on Mobile Phones & Gadgets: Possession of mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, or spy cameras inside the exam venue results in immediate cancellation and 3 to 5 years debarment.
- Malpractice Debarment Matrix: Impersonation or engaging fraudulent scribes leads to 7 years debarment and criminal prosecution under IT/Cyber Acts. Copying or sharing terminals incurs 7 years debarment.
- All India Service Liability (AISL): All appointed Lower Division Clerks, Junior Secretariat Assistants, and Data Entry Operators carry All India Service Liability and can be posted across any state or union territory in India.
- Probation Period: Appointed candidates undergo a mandatory two-year probation period and required departmental training.
